The International Harp Competition & Festival, The Netherlands has taken place in Utrecht, from 23 till 27 March. Meer over het festival is te vinden op www.harpfestival.nl.

The final results are in!

With the finals played on Saturday, we are pleased to announce that the three prize winners of the International Harp Competition & Festival The Netherlands 2010 are:

  1. Noël Wan - USA
  2. Rino Kageyama - Japan
  3. Eleanor Turner - England

 

The extra prizes have been awarded to:

  • Schumann Accompaniment Award - Christoph Bielefeld
  • Forgotten Lore Award - Noël Wan
  • Peutz Audience Award - Eleanor Turner

 

For the first time in history, an international harp competition & festival will be organized in the Netherlands. Founded by students, and supported by the Dutch Harp Society and the Utrechts Conservatorium, this event promises to be a whole new approach to harp competitions.

This event will be a unique combination of a competition and a festival, where contestants will be able to compete as well as exchange knowledge, enjoy concerts and visit master classes.
